Kleissl Lab

Professor Jan Kleissl's Lab is a lab at UCSD that built it's own micro power grid here on campus with an array of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for its project called DERConnect.

I interned here in 2024, where I worked on designing and manufacturing mounts for DER server devices, helped set up the server infrastructure, and prototyped a classifier for electrical devices based on their power usage data in Python.
